Day Camp

For youth between 9 and 15 years old.

The camp takes place at the Olympic Basin on Notre Dame Island, a 10 min. walk from the Jean Drapeau Metro Station and easily accessible by car or bike.

Activities

Our program runs from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes:

  • All necessary rowing equipment (boats, oars, rowing machines, simulation tank)
  • Coaching
  • Daycare services
  • Exploring various types of crew boats
  • Technical learning sessions on the rowing machine (ergometer)
  • A friendly race at the end of the week
  • A BBQ Friday lunchtime (vegetarian options as well)
  • Various fun activities included throughout the week

Various activities include: yoga, games aiming to improve coordination, team activities, treasure hunt, beach day on the island, one outing to the rock climbing centre Allez Up, etc.

Day camps begin to run as of the week of July 3rd.

Reception and departure

You can leave your child at the boathouse n°9.

You must pick your child up at the same place at the end of the day.

Daycare service

If your child arrives before 9:00am, you must sign them up for daycare service when registering

This service is available between 7:30am and 9:00am.

In the afternoon, it is offered from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

Extended daycare service

If your child is still in our premises after 5:30 pm, a fee of prolonged daycare service will be charged at the rate of 10$ per 15 minutes.

Password

For security reasons, we ask you to choose a password when registering.

You must, you or anyone who will pick up your child in the end of the day, provide us this password. Otherwise, we should carry out checks before delivering the child.

If your child can leave alone at the end of the day, please let us know when registering( registration form, section “ Autorisation de départ”)

Absence and delay

Our instructors take attendance every morning. If absent, the club will not contact the participant’s parents.

Early departure

If you wish to pick up your child in advance, you must notify the camp coordinator by email or the morning of, at the latest.

Health form

If your child has allergies or is taking medication, you should contact the coordinator and specify it in your registration form.

Any child with symptoms of contagious disease (fever, nausea, stomach-ache, etc…) will not be admitted to the camp.

Meals

Children must bring their lunches. There is no microwave or refrigerator available.

To bring

  • Sport clothes: sweater, shorts and sneakers
  • Water bottle, lunch and snack
  • Towel
  • Sunscreen and hat
  • Padlock 

What not to bring

Games and electronic devices, money, jewelry, watches, valuables items …

Please note that the club is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Discipline

If a participant has behavioural problems that disrupt the smooth running of activities or violates the camp rules, camp coordination team will notify parents.

If the situation persists, it can lead to dismissal.

Intimidation, physical / verbal violence or any other situation which puts in danger the safety of participants are unacceptable behaviours that lead to severe sanctions such as suspension or dismissal.

Please note that no refunds will be given if the participant is suspended or expelled for disciplinary reasons.

Supervision

Our groups are supervised by instructors with specialized training.

All activities take place in a safe and dynamic environment.

  • Week : 240$ + taxes
  • July (4 weeks): 850$ + taxes
