The Montreal Rowing Club (MRC) challenges you to the 2020 Rowing Uni Cycle, a fun tour of Montreal-area rowing clubs. It’s a challenge for rowers to stay fit, keep motivated and show our thanks to all those who generously donated to the "Keep the MRC Afloat" emergency fundraising campaign. This event will serve to conclude our fundraising efforts. Since current circumstances prevent us from getting together as a club, we’re issuing an individual challenge… but with a common goal!
THE CHALLENGE The Montreal Rowing Uni Cycle, which spins into action the weekend of May 29-31, challenges members to bike/run/walk as many kilometres as you can to destinations near and dear to our sport. Dress in your club uni/t-shirt/colours — or something stylish — and get going with your family, friends or as a couple… all while respecting current physical distancing guidelines.
To start collecting kilometres, simply download the STRAVA mobile app and join the Club d'Aviron - Montréal - Rowing Club. You have from Friday, May 29 at 5 pm to Sunday, May 31 at 9 pm to log your kilometres on a STRAVA-compatible device, upload your stats and post photos of the fun.
For you goal-oriented types, we’ve compiled a list of destinations around the Montreal rowing community where you can stop and snap a selfie to share with us at #RowingUniCycle. There will be awards for the most kilometres travelled, craziest costume, most creative photo… and other silly stuff.
