Activity Description
Discover the pleasure of rowing by learning and developing the basic skills and techniques: initiation on ergometer (rowing machine), and on the water in modified skiffs (singles). The successful completion of both level 1 and 2 learn to row classes is a prerequisite to signing up for one of the club's membership.
Sessions in the rowing tank subject to availability.
Course Structure
The course is offered on weeknights from 6 pm to 8 pm for 4 weeks. The classes are not interchangeable; sessions are on Mondays are held on Mondays, etc. If the curfew is still in effect, the classes will be held from 5:15 pm to 7 pm.
Requirements
Able to swim 25 metres
Can easily communicate in either English or French
Dates and Cost
The dates and cost of our courses is available on our online store (see link below). In addition, membership fees to Rowing Canada and the Quebec Rowing Association will apply.
The course cannot be cancelled and will be charged in full (no reimbursement). Classes are held rain or shine.
Recommendations
Bring comfortable workout clothes (nothing too loose that might get caught in the equipment), an extra pair of socks, some snacks and a water bottle.
